SwiftTec FAQ: When I run your software I get a Visual C++ error

In addition the database fails to get created.

This may be due to a Microsoft component that may be missing, or not registered correctly. It is the underlying library used to access the database. Use the following steps to resolve this

  1. Make sure you have DAO360.DLL installed - it should exist in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\"

If the file is missing please download it from   http://www.swifttec.com/downloads/dao360.dll

  2. Execute this command from a command window:

    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"

  3.  Re-run the program that failed.

Alternatively try downloading one of the Jet service packs from the Microsoft download centre.

If the software still fails to run please contact us for help.
