SwiftTec: Club Membership System

Getting Started

The SwiftTec Club Membership System is a software suite designed for clubs to maintain a list of members and their visits to/from the club.

Running the software for the first time

The first time the SwiftTec Club Membership System is run you will be prompted to select a folder where the data is to be stored. It is strongly recommended that you create a separate folder in which to store the data and that it is backed-up regularly. If you let the system decide where to put the data it will create a new folder at: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SwiftTec\Club Membership System or somewhere similar.

You can verify the actual data folder location you by looking at the datadir value in the registry under the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SwiftTec\Club Membership System by using regedit.

When the program runs it will create a folder structure that looks similar to the following example:

In the folder you specify as the data folder the membership database (membership.mdb) will be created and three additional folders:

• notes - contains the member notes as text files.
• photos - contains the member photos as picture files. Picture files can be JPG, GIF or BMP files.
• cards - contains the images used for creating the membership cards.

The Startup Screen

The start screen allows quick access to all of the major functions of the system, each of which are described in their own section.

• Adding and editing member details
• View a member report
• Logging a member visit
• Printing membership cards
• View and print various reports
• Change user-definable types and flags

These actions are also available from the toolbar and via the function keys.
