Scanner2KB A free utility for using a scanner or device attached to the serial port as a keyboard device.

SwiftTec is pleased to offer for free this simple utility designed to allow a device attached to the computer serial port to act as a keyboard. It's original purpose was to allow those with existing POS hardware (non-USB based) to use their barcode scanners with the SwiftTec Club Membership system, without having to make major updates to the membership software.

When installed Scanner2KB runs automatically at login time monitoring the configured serial port and converts incoming characters to virtual keyboard events and posts them to the currently active windows.
